Rosemary moved to Trellech in 2012 and is particularly interested in participation in those activities which enhance the wellbeing of local residents. She is a counsellor and psychotherapist and now runs a small private practice. She founded and directed for over 15 years a charitable counselling agency in the London Borough of Barnet which specialised in helping those coping with the death of a child, those recovering from domestic violence as well as counselling children and young people. Rosemary loves living in Monmouthshire and is proud to represent the residents of Trellech and is always happy to hear from them if she can be of assistance.

George was born and raised in Hampshire, from where he began a long career with BT sales and customer service, simultaneously clocking up 27 years’ service in the Territorial Army. He and his wife Pat moved gradually west with his job, eventually settling in Llanishen in 1988. On taking early retirement from BT, he took a forestry course, which led to another career as Tree Officer with Monmouthshire County Council, from which he has recently retired. George is currently Secretary of Llanishen Village Hall Committee. One of his interests is rock and pop music, and he plays guitar in a local band.

Martin was elected Chair of TUCC in May 2019. Martin is the CEO of Kaleidoscope, a Charity supporting people with drug and alcohol problems in Wales. He is a director of Drug and Alcohol Charities Wales and a Board Member of Reach, part of the Seren Group, which supports vulnerable people. He was born in West Ham but has lived in Llanishen since 2002.

David and his wife Anne moved back to his Welsh roots to Penallt in 2007 following a teaching career in London. Keen to get involved in the community, he was jointly responsible for bringing high speed broadband to parts of the village a few years ago. He set up and runs the village website and its mailing list too and has chaired the village hall (Pelham Hall) committee for the past five years. A keen (Welsh) rugby and cricket fan, his main competitive sport is orienteering, in which he also has an administrative role as a long-standing member of its International Federation’s competitions committee.

Nikki moved to Penallt with her husband Bob and their three children in 1999.  She has just retired after a career working in computing and latterly with small entrepreneurial start-up software companies.  An avid sports enthusiast, her number one passion is cricket; she plays tennis and squash as well as keeping fit by walking far and wide with her dog.  She loves the beauty of the Wye Valley and enjoys being part of the Penallt community.  She is currently co-chair of the Village Hall and is on the Halls Together Steering Committee which is focused on assisting all village and community halls in the area.

Guy retired after 30 years as a social worker in South Wales and has lived with his wife in Catbrook since 2016.  He served as a community councillor in Waterloo, near Caerphilly, for six years and was a founder trustee of the Caerphilly Woodlands Trust.  He is also a musician, playing regularly in a long established ceilidh band for events near and far.  In Catbrook he enjoys being part of the community, assisting with local events in the Catbrook memorial Hall and beyond.  His other interests include walking with the family dog, and cycling on his newly-acquired e-bike, which makes the local hills a lot easier.

Alan was born in Bristol, where he studied for his degree in architecture at what subsequently became Bath University and where he met his wife Stephanie. They moved to Trellech from Bath in 1972. He has worked on the design of many hospitals and schools as well as commercial buildings and more recently domestic and conservation work, winning a number of design competitions. Alan was a founding member of the Wye Valley Riding Club, a founding member and past chairman of the Trellech Society, a former school governer, adviser to Bishop Childs on redundant buildings and has been a voluntary Wye Valley warden and a Community Councillor for some 35 years.
