The name Trellech derives from the Welsh language and means either "the town (tre) of slates (llech)" or "three (tri) slates (llech)". There are 26 known spellings including Trellech, Trelech, Treleck, Trelleck, Tryleg, Trileg, Trillec and Trelegg.
Trellech United Community Council can be found in South East Wales, it stretches from Penallt in the North to Catbrook in the South and from Llanishen in the West to Whitebrook in the East. It consists of the wards - Llandogo, The Narth, Trellech, Llanishen, Penallt, Catbrook and Whitebrook.
Corona Virus Emergency - Normal meetings have been temporarily suspended, but it has been decided to hold monthly meetings via Zoom until further notice, on the usual day, at 7 pm. If you would like to participate please contact the clerk who will provide you with the link. As usual there will be an opportunity for members of the public to speak at the beginning of each meeting, and to observe the meeting itself.
